white_byron_greeters_logoSurfer Rosa’s qualified tourism and events trainers are working with North Coast TAFE to design and deliver training for Byron Shire Council’s Byron Bay Greeters program being launched over New Years Eve 2014. Students from diverse work and life experiences are gaining qualifications in tourism and developing the skills to provide quality customer service showing social and cultural sensitivity. The training also develops the skills to access and interpret tourism product information.  The Global Greeters program started in New York City in 1992 and now counts 90 destinations among its network where Greeters welcome visitors to their city or destination. Byron Bay is located on Australia’s most easterly point Cape Byron, and is an iconic holiday destination renowned for surf culture, health and wellness, stunning natural and coastal beauty and arts and creativity.
