Three Surfer Rosa Communications clients will compete as finalists at the 2017 Australian Tourism Awards in Perth on Friday 23 February.
Sparking up state rivalries, Auswalk Walking Holidays and Lets Go Surfing will go head-to-head as finalists in the category of Adventure Tourism following their respective gold awards in the Victorian and New South Wales 2017 Tourism Awards.
“We feel incredibly proud to be nominated with all the other inspirational adventure tourism companies from around Australia!” said Lets Go Surfing Founder and Director Brenda Miley.
Auswalk Managing Director Brett Neagle concurred. “Winning awards for doing what we love is incredibly rewarding. It also acknowledges our team’s energy, talents and hard work.”
The 28th Annual Byron Bay Bluesfest will vie for the title of best Major Festival and Event. This follows Bluesfest winning three back-to-back gold awards at the NSW Tourism Awards 2015-2017, for which they’ve been inducted into the NSW Tourism Awards Hall of Fame.
“While the competition at the national awards will be fierce, it’s thrilling to see our clients acknowledged by industry peers for excellence in tourism.” said Surfer Rosa Communications’ Russell Mills.
“We’re over the moon to have played a part in this success, preparing winning award submissions for all three clients in 2017. Whatever the outcome, these businesses are proven success stories, providing memorable, life-changing experiences for Australian and international travellers.”
